Upload or FTP your webpages |

Upload or transfer your web pages to the server so that it is accessible on the internet. You upload files to your web server using a FTP, which stands for File Transfer Protocol. There are several applications that you can use to FTP your files, but you can also use the Internet Explorer which comes with all Windows based PCs. Simply type "ftp://yourdomainname.com" into the address bar, and click go or press enter. You will be prompted for a user name and password. Once you provide these details and successfully logon to the server, you will be able to see the files on the server. All you have to do next is to copy from your PC and paste the files you want to transfer. Using Internet Explorer is the easiest, but it is not a full fledged FTP application. Search engines like Google and Yahoo index your web pages so that when someone searches for a company, product or service, they can find them. A new website is virtually unknown on the web, and unless you submit your website to search engines, it would be highly unlikely that people will find it.
