ReachOut!

An easy website solution for churches

At DeltaTech, we realise that while it's easy to get the initial website up and running, ensuring that the content is current and dynamic can be a stumbling block.

Updating content on a website requires at the very least a basic knowledge of HTML.

There is an easier way!
Developed in 2001, ReachOut! has not only been successfully used over the last 7 years, but has also evolved into an easy-to-use yet comprehensive content management system for church websites.

With ReachOut!, it is as simple as entering the information and clicking "Save". The CMS does the rest, from saving it to displaying the current information for public viewing.
ReachOut! consists of two parts:
  • Public section which is accessible to anyone who comes on to the website, and,

  • Private or restricted section, which is only accessible to authorised users that have been given a User ID and password to access it.

The maintenance section is an easy to use data entry screen. Simply enter all details like date, title, etc, and click save.

When displaying, the web page checks for the date and month of the service and displays it

With ReachOut, you get 10 sections of dynamic information on your website:

  1. Home
    Offers a summary of what is happening during the month, with a brief of the Vicar's message, the next service, selected events and news, bible verse of the day. Visitors can click through to read an item in more detail.

  2. Service schedule
    Displays the next four weeks schedule, and can be drilled down to details such as the lesson for that week, deacon, language, etc.

  3. Message from the Vicar
    Displays the Vicar's message for the month.
    Previous messages from the Vicar can be archived and viewed on demand.

  4. Events
    A listing of events during the month. Cell group meeting dates, activities, etc. You can define your own category of events.

  5. News
    Weddings, condolences, congratulations. As with events, you can define your own categories.

  6. History/About us
    About the church and it's history.

  7. Contact us
    Details of how and whom to contact. The information here can be updated at any time to reflect changes in the church's leadership group or committee members.

  8. Feedback
    Allows the church to get feedback on the history of the church, favourite bible verse, useful website links or just opinions on the website.

  9. Related websites
    A collection of website links that may be of interest to the congregation. Links are maintained by the church's appointed website administrator.

  10. Optional feature: Forum board
    An area where registered members can ask questions and get answers, or just generally discuss issues that affect them in today's world.

An interesting feature of ReachOut! is the ability to display a "Verse of the day" on the home page.

Bible verses are displayed randomly, and the administrator can maintain the verses that are displayed.

ReachOut! is a hosted solution and is subscription based.

A hosted solution is one which comes with the entire package that you require for your website, from web and e-mail hosting to standard webpage templates, and the all important content management system needed to keep your website current and dynamic.
