While SiteAdvisor makes surfing the net a much safer experience, there might come a time when you want to uninstall it.
One of the reasons could be because you are installing an Internet Security solution that requires all other security solutions to be uninstalled first.
Removing SiteAdvisor, like with uninstalling any other software, is a straight forward process.
1. Click on Start, then point to and click on Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel windows, locate McAfee SiteAdvisor, select it and click on the Change/Remove button.
If you cannot find it in the Add or Remove Programs window, then, locate the Uninstall file in the C:\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor folder and double click on it.
Both the above should uninstall SiteAdvisor and you will need to re-start your PC.
Sometimes however, uninstalling SiteAdvisor is not so straight forward. One of the problems we encountered was it froze and did nothing.
In cases like this, download McAfee's removal tool and run it. Once it's completely uninstalled, you should see a message saying CleanUp Successful. Re-start your PC.
